Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller supports the Chief Financial Officer in overseeing the daily financial operations of Martha Lloyd Community Services and its affiliated entities.

This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of accounting processes, strengthening internal controls, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and supporting organizational compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Years of experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience with nonprofit, healthcare, or human services accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Human Resources Specialist

Duties and Responsibilites

• Organizes the recruitment, selection and placement of new employees.
• Tracks and monitors existing position vacancies, posting positions both internally and externally. Advertises online, organizational website, in newspapers, on radio and recruits off-site at job fairs and local schools, universities, and unemployment offices.
• Obtains work related and character references and consults with supervisors on selection and placement of suitable applicants.
• Obtains criminal history background checks in accordance with the regulations of the employing corporation.

• Makes job offers to successful applicants, schedules post-offer screenings (physicals, etc.) and orientation training sessions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate’s degree, from an accredited college or university, with coursework in the field of Management/Human Resources and at least 1 year work experience in a Management/Human Resources work environment.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Pass post-offer drug screen.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.

Qualifications
